Hey everybody, how’s it going?
It’s been a while.
Life has been life-ing since I last wrote to you. I’m finally starting to dig myself out of complete burnout and back to writing. It’s been a rough 10 years or so, and I hear that, astrologically speaking, I am due a big glow up and the beginning of a new cycle. So this stubborn passionate Aries is going to step into her grace, as T puts it.
The world is on fire. What’s been helping me get through is art. I’ve been leaning heavily into creative processes of all kinds. I think about the healing that music brings as we make sense of a world at the crossroads. Will we choose humanity or greed? Life or death of every sort? And individually, how will we keep ourselves emotionally intact in such a landscape?
I believe that we’re seeing a really fertile creative period in response to the utter chaos we find ourselves in. As Tori’s fans, we know the power of collective healing through art. People are hungry for truth and connection. We are all looking for ways to survive this moment in time.
I’m very much looking forward to T’s next record. I’m incredibly out of the loop, so give me a moment to catch up. I just wanted to get some thoughts out to you tonight and let you know I’m still here and there’s more to come. i’ll be writing about a variety of topics while we wait for Tori’s next new record; hopefully you’ll stick around.
